Drag and drop your PDF here or choose a file
Separate pages with commas (1,3,4) or use a hyphen for a range (2-5).
How to Split a PDF
- Choose the PDF you want to split, or drag it onto the box above. The tool reads it and shows the total page count.
- Type the pages you want to keep in the new file. Use commas for single pages (1,3,5), a hyphen for ranges (2-8), or mix both (1,3,5-10).
- To save each page as its own file instead, tick Split every page into a separate PDF file.
- Click Split PDF and Download.
Your Files Stay Private
The PDF is read and split on your own device; nothing is uploaded to a server. That makes the tool safe for confidential reports, contracts, and personal records. To delete, rotate, or reorder pages instead, use Organize PDF.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I combine single pages and page ranges?
Yes. Enter something like "1, 4, 6-10, 15" and all of those pages are copied, in page order, into one new PDF.
Does splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied with their original text, vector graphics, images, and fonts intact.
Why do I get several download prompts?
When you split every page into its own file, the browser downloads one PDF per page and may ask you to allow multiple downloads. Allow it once and the rest will follow.
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
Not directly. Remove the password first with the Unlock PDF tool, then split the unlocked copy.
