PDF to Word

Turn the text in a PDF into an editable Word (.docx) document.

Drag and drop your PDF here

Your file never leaves your device; everything is processed in your browser.

How to Convert PDF to Word

  1. Choose or drop your PDF file.
  2. Click Convert to Word and Download. The text is read page by page and the lines are joined back into paragraphs.
  3. Open the resulting .docx file in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or LibreOffice and edit it.

What Gets Converted

  • Kept: text, paragraph breaks, page breaks, and the relative size of headings.
  • Not kept: tables, images, colors, and multi-column layouts. For these documents, the fastest route is to bring the text over and reapply formatting in Word.
  • Scanned PDFs: PDFs made from photos have no selectable text and need OCR (optical character recognition) instead.

Your Files Stay Private

The conversion runs entirely in your browser. Your PDF is never uploaded to a server, so the tool is safe to use with contracts, résumés, and other personal documents.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can convert?

No. You can convert as many files as you like without signing up, because the work is done on your own device.

Are accented and special characters preserved?

Yes. As long as the text in the PDF is encoded correctly, accented letters and other Unicode characters are transferred as they are.

Why aren't tables converted?

In a PDF, a table is just positioned text and lines. Rebuilding real tables reliably requires heavy server-side software, so the tool transfers table text line by line instead.
